Usage Percentage (USG)

Usage % (USG%) - The goal of Usg% is to calculate the percentage of team plays a player was involved in, while he was on the floor. If the play ends in one of the three true results: field-goal attempts, free throws, or a turnover, it will count toward the player’s Usg%. Formula: 100*(((Field goals attempts + 0.44Free throws attempts + Turnovers)(Team minutes))/(Player minutes*(Team Field goal attempts 0.44*Team Free throw attempts + Team Turnovers))) Note: Team minutes is the number of games multiplied by the minutes of a game
