Free Throws (FT)

A free throw is a shot from the top line of the paint rewarded to a team when the opposing team has committed a shooting or unsportsmanlike foul or a foul when the team is in the bonus (after the 4th foul is committed, each committed foul earns the opposing team free throws). Depending on the type of the foul, a team can be rewarded with 1, 2 or 3 free throws. Each free throw earns 1 point.
